Letter from Joyce Sokol

May 6, 1996

I am still in shock over the death, the loss, of my doctor, my friend, Rick Sturtz.

I was one of his first patients when he started out. I trusted him with the care of my whole family. Some people say it would take 5 people to replace his services and care, I say he's irreplaceable.

We had our bartering deal all set, he was going to make me a stained glass window for my dining room, I was going to make him a bed quilt. How quickly things change.

My plans to attend the funeral were thwarted by bad weather, school closings and road closings.

I feel at a loss, I want to remember him.
